CLARK RESIDENCE HALL
Renovation and Reconfiguration
WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY, MIDDLETOWN, CT
As Associate and Project Manager at Centerbrook Architects, Meg was responsible for the renovations to a 1910 dormitory designed by Henry Bacon. A complete gut renovation, the project included new mechanical systems, new elevator, reconfigured residential rooms, new lounge spaces and a resident assistant suite. The exterior brownstone was cleaned and repaired, and a new entry portico was fabricated with stone from the same quarry as the original building. The portico created a new entry sequence and reoriented the building towards a new exterior terrace.
